Author of over 80 books in 27 different languages, de Bono’s tools and methods have brought astonishing results to business professionals, companies and organizations across the world. His advanced training solutions help implement organizational creativity and readjust traditional ways of thinking.

His book, Six Thinking Hats®  was developed under the premise that the human brain thinks in a number of distinct ways. de Bono identified six directions in which the brain can be challenged. In each of these directions, the brain will identify and acknowledge certain aspects of issues (i.e. instinct, bias, judgement, facts, pessimism, etc.). The coloured hats are used as metaphors for each direction; and when used together, allow for a more complete thinking process.

Six Thinking Hats® provides a means for groups to plan their thinking processes in a detailed and cohesive way. And in doing so, teams will be able to think together more effectively

Penned over 30 years ago, Dr. de Bono’s powerful and practical thinking tactics are still relevant and used in today’s modern workplace.
