To form a leading communication-skills training company, we assembled the top names in communication. One of the founding partners was Dr. Eric McLuhan, son of Dr. Marshall McLuhan, the media and communication guru.
You may remember McLuhan’s axioms, “the medium is the message” and “the global village.” McLuhan made a name for himself at the University of Toronto in the ’60s and ’70s through a series of books reviewing the effects of media on Western culture — including his most famous book: Understanding Media.
Marshall McLuhan’s pioneer work alerted us that electronic media have changed the way we think and communicate. His insights continue to influence our workshop content and course design – updated with practical techniques that help people succeed in today’s demanding workplaces.
Roger HB Davies
Roger HB Davies established his reputation in the early ’70s as one of Canada’s top business magazine editors. His awards include the prestigious Jesse H. Neal, the Pulitzer of the American Business Press, which he won a record three times.
In 1980, he co-founded McLuhan & Davies. As CEO, he is responsible for long-term planning, product innovation and marketing.
Davies has served as President of the Ontario Society of Training & Development, Canada’s largest professional training association.
